If You Have Davis Vision

Due to low rates for exams, and patients being asked to pay the majority of their own eyewear charges, Cascadia Eye has decided to discontinue membership with Davis Vision effective May 9, 2025.

Even though we will no longer be in-network with Davis Vision, we still want to “be there for you” and patients can still receive comprehensive eye care at our clinics and purchase eyewear at any of our optical centers. To take special care of our former Davis Vision patients, we are offering a discount for them for well-vision exams*.

It’s important to note that routine eye exams (without medical complaints) are not generally covered by insurance, but if an exam includes a medical diagnosis, it can still be billed to an insurance plan.

What About Eyeglasses?

Since Cascadia Eye will no longer need to use Davis labs, we are likely able to give our guests a comparable price on high-quality eyewear without using their insurance benefits. They are still welcomed to shop the outstanding selection of local and popular eyewear brands.

*How Out-of-Network Reimbursement Works

Patients using their Davis Vision benefits will need to pay the full discounted exam fee at the time of service. They may then submit their receipt to Davis Vision for reimbursement based on their out-of-network allowance.

We understand that changes like this can be an adjustment, and our team is here to help answer any questions. If you’d like more details about these updates, feel free to reach out to us at 360-424-2020.
